Who thought in 1950’s that AI and deep learning will make self-driving cars and impossible missions like Mission Mars almost possible. While these innovations are not only getting possible but also the future predictions are getting quite interesting as well.

While everyone is predicting future of AI mostly in the Software sector, I believe the most influential application of AI-based Nanochip will be in the medical diagnostics industry. These bot chips can be implanted in human brain just like currently a female can implant a birth control rod in her arm and can avoid taking pills.

This nano biochip NBC will be biocompatible and will be programmed. It will connect to cloud computing and will keep updating the EHR database. A central server using machine learning can analyze everyday data sent by this NBC and can compare with various disease-bearing EHR. It will then show the result on daily basis to a patient and his/her doctor through an app.

It will not only help in understanding new diseases and their genetic modification but also an early diagnosis of diseases like Diabetes, AIDS, Alzheimer’s and Cancer. Currently, a company like Dexcom are into noninvasive diagnostics of diabetes while a company like NaNose is into spirometer based diagnosis of cancer.

 

Just imagine, if diseases like Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma can be diagnosed at early stage, how its treatment can change. Seriously, humans need AI based nanochips for implantation at least for the medical diagnostics purpose as early as they can. Changes in everyday eating and living habits are one of the most critical reasons for the new formation of diseases.

We, humans, have evolved from typewriter to big computer to PC to laptops to Ipads to iPhones in three decades only. While medical diagnostics industry has tried to evolve but couldn’t maintain its race in innovation as fast as it should be. The best time of AI implementation in medical diagnostics is now. With extinct of certain antibiotics, level to the rise of pharmaceuticals in the USA are some very simple examples to watch.

Just like pacemakers what if there is a Nano Biochip specialized for Alzheimer’s patients that can help them to connect with their memories stored on a cloud machine. If NBC can be brought into existence soon, then the brain like steve jobs can never be stopped from innovating from the decade after decade.

What I want to conclude from this article is we need a change in the medical diagnostics industry, transforming it into an applied category of growing digital health industry. Definitely, my article is not supporting AI to replace humans in general work areas but special areas where there can be big changes and millions of lives can be changed.
